At the recent Construction Employers Federation (CEF) Employers Federation ‘Excellence Awards’ our NI team were delighted to receive a Highly Commended award in the Social Value category.

Speaking after the event, Serena Hylands said:

“We were thrilled to have been recognised for our Social Value contributions on our contract for Response Maintenance Services for the Housing Executive in the Newry, Mourne and Down Council Area.

Serena added “the Social Value Award recognises our partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Bolster Community and WomensTec which has resulted in a significant investment into the area.

“Our commitment to embedding social value across our organisation is demonstrated by receiving this award.

“Working with the public sector we share their social value goals, ensuring social value is an integral part of the procurement and contract management process.

“Delivering 6 DIY skills training courses we had over 50 participants in Hilltown, Moneydarragh, Dundrum and Cullyhanna. Many students obtained the OCN accredited joinery course and over 30 young girls were able to attend a ‘GoGirls’ programme providing essential life training and empowering them to be themselves in this world.

Congratulations to Luke Hawkins & Chris McCarthy who recently obtained their Mobile Vertical/Boom license as well as completing Safety Harness training at Industry Training Services in Portadown.

Luke and Chris make up part of the around-the-clock response contract for Radius Housing in Belfast.  Providing them with the correct training and tools allows us to offer a fast, friendly & efficient service to our client and associated tenants.’
