Job Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working Hours: 40 Hours

JOB SUMMARY

A demanding position in a fast-paced environment which requires an individual to work flexibly and travel across Northern Ireland.  The successful candidate will have full knowledge of the construction industry have managed a team of QS’s and will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience managing varied projects.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of Major Contracts.
  • Professional delivery of all contracts
  • Perform a commercial function in preparation with tender bids
  • Procurement of supplier’s and sub-contractors
  • Change control procedures on projects so variations are identified and agreed
  • Ensure information is presented timely and accurate
  • Preparation of accurate and prudent cost-value analysis
  • Interim and final account statement preparation
  • Site measurements and drawing/taking off plans
  • Pricing variations and costing compensation events
  • Uphold Data Protection Policies
  • Management of a team of QS’s
  • Any other Ad hoc duties

Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times
  • Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed
  • Observe & follow all manual handling practices

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Recognized Quantity Surveying qualification
  • Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training
  • Full UK Driving License
  • 15 years’ experience in construction industry
  • Experience in NHF, NSR & PSA Schedules (desirable)
  • Experience of working from BOQ’s to maximize commercial returns
